reCOREding Academy – Live Recording Session - This Saturday (2/7) 8am-12pm
In recording studio rm 201 (next to the library)
This Saturday, CORE Academy students will take part in a live professional recording session in our recording space. We’re welcoming professional drummer Johnny Steele, a San Diego Unified and Juilliard alum, who has toured professionally and recently returned to San Diego.
Johnny has generously volunteered his time so students can experience what a real studio session looks and feels like.
Students will:
- Learn how to run a professional recording session
- Record live drum tracks in a studio environment
- Use the recordings later to compose and produce their own music
Johnny will also return the following week for a podcast interview to share his experience in music school and as a touring musician.
This is a real-world, hands-on opportunity for students to step into a professional creative process.
