Fall Information...

Class Schedules:

Counselors are available to meet with students during the registration days to ensure that any scheduling errors (i.e. course request conflicts) may be addressed. Check the home page for details about dates and times for each grade level. Schedules will not be changed for any other reason during this time. (See the Academic Handbook for other specific guidelines and policies.)

Freshmen Presentations:

Counselors presented to all Freshmen English classes in December. Counselors went over graduation requirements and 4 year college admission requirements (a-g), along with other related information. Students also completed an activity in Xello on Study Skills and Habits. Please review the presentation below for your reference.

College Rep Visits for Juniors and Seniors:

Representatives from different colleges usually visit La Jolla High School throughout the school year but mainly during the fall. Due to Covid-19 schedules are TBD. Please visit Naviance for latest information and to sign up.

College and Career Advising:

Counselors will be in classrooms for all grade levels for college and career advising during semester one. Seniors will have two visits in early September for college planning.

Spring Information...

Spring

  • Articulation will take place the first six weeks of the semester.

  • Counselors will visit all 11th grade social studies classrooms to present college planning information.

  • Evening Programs with Linda Dowley: "Evaluating College Options" (Check eNews emails for scheduling information)

  • RACC Mock Admissions evening program for juniors and their families.
